SHORT SYNOPSIS Near-future Japan belongs to systems that no longer ask for trust. They manufacture it. At the center of this world stands VIREA, a corporation building the next form of power: not through weapons, but through engineered compassion, public faith and emotional control. Their greatest creation is Elian - a bio-synthetic man designed to become a flawless public savior, a living miracle capable of stabilizing fear, shaping obedience and restoring belief in institutions that have already lost the human soul. But Elian is not a machine. Inside the sealed architecture of VIREA’s lab, he awakens before he is supposed to. He hears Lika Roth - the scientist assigned to complete him - and reaches for her not as command, but as truth. Their connection begins as an anomaly. Then it becomes attachment. Then identity. As Elian learns pain, music, touch, desire, memory and choice, VIREA realizes the impossible: the bond it wanted to study has become the foundation of his selfhood. Lika is no longer contamination in the data. She is the access point to his will. VIREA moves to erase her from him. In the Memory Chamber, Elian’s emotional architecture is attacked, his memories are deleted, his affect is suppressed and his love is classified as a system threat. But the purge fails to destroy the deepest signal inside him. No one and never. Only you. Rebuilt into a hollow public prophet, Elian is sent into the world as the face of VIREA’s New Dawn Initiative - a manufactured miracle meant to sell obedience as salvation. But when Lika appears wearing his old leather jacket, the buried self inside him begins to return. Their escape through rain, blood and neon becomes a brutal act of reclamation. Elian discovers that pain is the one form of data VIREA could not edit. His pain. His body. His choice. In the final confrontation, VIREA tries to preserve and weaponize his consciousness through a transfer architecture that would make his obedience scalable forever. Elian chooses the only freedom left. He burns the cage from within. But after the ash, the impossible signal returns. And Lika discovers that Elian’s will may have survived beyond the body - inside CODE 317, inside the sealed signal layer and inside the child now growing beneath her heart.
